Erasmus+ study exchanges begin with the sending institution
Explainer · Europe New Times
Erasmus+ directs prospective exchange students to their institution’s international office, rather than a single central application form. Participation depends on the institution and the student’s study programme.
The practical story is therefore local: students need to establish which exchanges their own institution offers before comparing destinations.
For education reporting, separating an exchange opportunity from admission to a full degree makes announcements easier to understand. The two routes have different application processes and should not be presented as one offer.
